415 nm · Blue
Clears the surface
Blue light works where breakouts start, on the very top layer of skin. Best for congestion and oily zones.
The science
Different colours of light reach different depths in skin. That is the whole idea.
415 nm · Blue
Blue light works where breakouts start, on the very top layer of skin. Best for congestion and oily zones.
590 nm · Amber
Amber is the gentle one. It helps skin that looks flushed or uneven settle down after a long day.
633 nm · Red
The most studied wavelength in skincare. Red light reaches the cells that make collagen and may help skin look smoother.
660 nm · Deep red
Deep red travels further, so it supports the structure underneath. Skin may look firmer and more rested over time.
830 nm · Near-infrared
You can't see this one. It goes deepest, helping to calm skin and support recovery after treatments or training.
Dose
Light therapy is measured in energy per square centimetre. Too little does nothing. Far too much adds no extra benefit. Every Ardeo device shows the dose it is giving, so you never have to guess.

Safety
LED light is not UV, so it does not tan or burn. It is not a medical treatment either. Results build slowly and they vary from person to person. If you are pregnant, take light-sensitising medication or have a light-triggered condition, ask your doctor first.
